The North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals ("NCSCCA") Electronic Filing Site is a free resource that provides access to documents that have been electronically filed with either the NC Supreme Court or the NC Court of Appeals since 1998. The NCSCCA filing site only has access to appellate court documents. To date there is no unified online system to find trial court dockets online. To access trial court dockets, you will need to contact the Clerk of Court for that county.
You can search the NCSCCA Electronic Filing Site by attorney name, docket (case) number, party names, date filed, and other relevant information. To find court records, it is recommended to complete as many fields as possible. Click on All Documents for access to individual documents. The Docket Sheet link is a pdf of all case activity.
